The Bread for Men School serves around 200 students, many of whom travel long distances—on foot or by motorcycle, with some walking up to six miles one way—to receive an education. Through Restoring Lives Ministry, students are provided with a hot, freshly cooked meal three days a week, helping meet a critical daily need. By employing and paying teachers, the ministry also creates stable job opportunities that are rare in Haiti, strengthening both the school and the surrounding community.

For many of our students, the meal provided at school is sometimes the only meal they receive that day. These nutritious, well-prepared meals play a vital role in supporting their health, concentration, and overall ability to learn, making school a place of both education and essential care.
"I like the school food because it gives us more energy to study. Sometimes children don’t eat at home but they get a meal at school."
"I like the school food first of all because it gives us more energy to listen to the teachers. It helps us concentrate more. Sometimes we work late and it helps us to be able to endure the day. Some children come to school without breakfast but when they come to school and get some food it helps them a lot. We want to say thank you for the huge efforts you are making for us. May God bless you."
“It’s very important for the children to eat. It helps them listen better. It’s especially good for the child who lives in poverty and who doesn’t have enough to eat. We congratulate those who support this because we notice that the children are making more efforts in their studies. We are happy and proud of our school. I want to thank the supporters for this activity. It is very encouraging for all of us.”
"The food helps the children very much. The food is cooked early. Sometimes the children don’t eat at home so this helps them a lot. First of all I thank you for providing this food. If you could provide food every day of the week it would help the children and the teachers a lot!”
